When are forklifts and AGVs worthwhile and lucrative?

The optimum combination and utilization of the company's own fleet of forklifts and AGVs increases cost effectiveness. This is achieved by reducing personnel and transport costs of all used material handling equipment. In IPO.Log, the earliest and latest possible staging times are calculated backwards from the installation site on the basis of a real production program. The precisely targeted and demand oriented deliveries on the precisely timed assembly line ensure an ideal proof of concept in the planning stage.

In rough planning, the calculation is based on the logistics quantity structure. In detail planning, the production program serves as a time basis from which the times of staging can be calculated.


The following is an evaluation of the dynamic route planning. The different tours are color coded, in black is the total number of tugs required at a certain point in time.

 

 

 

Planning in IPO.Log offers concrete possibilities for planning and optimizing route trains through the 3D model and detailed evaluation. The advantage of simulation over time is that activities such as loading, driving and unloading are traceable in a transport Gantt.

In the form of a heatmap, traffic volume in the hall at any given point in time can be dynamically displayed. The more intense the coloring, the more vehicles are operating on the same route at that moment. The route planning can precisely be evaluated and adapted if necessary. This directly calculated feedback expedites the planning process and leads to a reliable outcome.
